Mike Brubaker

Mike Brubaker is a Partner at Principled Strategies with his son, Chris. They focus primarily on bringing new capital to businesses, connecting investors to opportunities, and Government affairs.

In 2007, Mike was elected as Pennsylvania State Senator representing the 36th district for 2 consecutive 4-year terms. At Senate, Mike served as Chair of the Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee, Chair of the Finance Committee, Vice-Chair of the Policy & State Government Committee, and Co-Chair of the Pennsylvania Energy Caucus. He also served as a member of Governor Wolf and Governor Corbett’s transition teams.

Mike’s accomplishments in the Senate include: Prime sponsored bills, including SB-1017 Phosphate Reduction in the Chesapeake Bay, SB-168 Amended Local Government Codes, SB-586 Amended Title 20 Descendants Estate & Fiduciaries, and SB-170 Modified Banking Law.

Appointed as Chair of Chesapeake Bay Commission (tri-state commission created by Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania). Passed legislation that drastically reduced the amount of phosphate released into the Chesapeake Bay.

Founded and served as Chairman of Legislative Hunger Caucus to drive awareness of hunger across Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and ensure adequate funding for food banks.

Launched and chaired International Commerce Caucus, informing members of the House and Senate of upcoming visits of 50+ foreign dignitaries to the state capital and facilitated meetings focused on job creation and led official visits to embassies in Washington, D.C.

Mike holds an Honorary Doctorate from the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University.
